Emails delivery monitoring
Raley continuously monitors outgoing email delivery. If it detects a problem with sending notifications (for example, SMTP/OAuth2 connection issues, authentication failures, or other delivery errors), it will make an audit record of that. You can consult the audit records via app main menu → Send Audit tab.
As a Jira administrator you can receive email notifications about failures with emails delivery. This notification can be enabled in Monitoring tab and is applicable to all notification configurations in your instance. You’ll need to specify one or multiple (comma-separated) email addresses where these notifications will be sent. The notifications emails sender is notifications@raleyapps.com.
Once an hour, our monitoring system will check all Send Audit records for failed delivery emails during previous hour and for every Atlassian Instance with monitoring enabled it will create a digested email which contains the reason code and number of emails affected. Below is an example of such an email:
On receiving such email you can investigate and fix the root cause and restore normal operation.
This monitoring ensures that problems with outgoing notifications don’t go unnoticed: instead of silently failing, Raley proactively warns your admins so they can react quickly and keep your Jira/JSM communication reliable.
